We are delighted to be offering two outstanding yearlings at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale in Newmarket.
Lot 72 is a Starspangledbanner colt out of Callisto Star and therefore a full-brother to Grade 1 American Oaks heroine Rhea Moon. The American Oaks was one of two Graded stakes wins for Rhea Moon alongside the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes. Not only that, Callisto Moon has also clicked with Starspangledbanner to produce the stakes-placed There’s The Door.
Starspangledbanner is in the midst of an excellent season, notably as the sire of Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes heroine Precise and Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner Gstaad.
We are also delighted to be offering a colt by the much-missed Wootton Bassett, who died last week. Catalogued as Lot 247, he is a half-brother to Group 2 Beresford Stakes winner Crypto Force and out of the winning Galileo mare Luna Mare. It is the further family of champion Pilsudski.
We will be showing in Highflyer Paddock K.
